Job summary

Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking a casual Administration Support Officer to join a dynamic team across specialised units at our new hospital campus in Springfield. Hours are variable, including early mornings and evenings, with a salary range of $32.02-$37.35 per hour plus 25% casual loading and superannuation.

You will deliver high-quality administrative services, support patient flow, manage appointments, and assist with information recording using hospital systems.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Previous administration experience in hospital/healthcare settings is essential.
• Experience with medical terminology is desirable.
• Advanced computer literacy, especially Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience with iPM or similar hospital systems is desirable.
• Collaborative mindset with a drive for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-of-house and administrative support to patients, families, staff and clinicians.
• Accurately record and maintain patient information in hospital systems.
• Respond to general patient and clinician inquiries with warmth and professionalism.
• Assist with appointment and clinic management.
• Support general administrative tasks as required.
