Job summary

Mater is currently seeking Ward Services Assistants to join our housekeeping/orderly team at the Springfield campus on a casual basis. You will work across a 7-day roster from 6am to 6am, with 8-hour shifts, and a pay rate of $32.82–$35.39 per hour plus casual loading and superannuation.

Not-for-profit salary packaging available. You will support Waste, Linen, and Equipment delivery services, uphold high hygiene standards, and communicate with patients.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Ward/Orderly or previous hospital ward roles.
• Willingness to work across a 7-day roster, with early starts and physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support Ward Services including Waste, Linen, Equipment delivery/collection and porterage.
• Maintain high hygiene standards and assist with patient care tasks as required.
