Job summary

Nutrien Ag Solutions Australia seeks a Graduate Agronomist based from our Wynyard branch in North West Tasmania. You’ll learn on the job alongside experienced agronomists, gaining practical paddock exposure and support across growers, deliveries, store operations, testing and sampling.

You should be currently studying or have completed an agriculture, agronomy or crop science qualification, with a hands-on approach, a team mindset and a genuine interest in growing your career in agriculture.

Qualifications

• Currently studying or recently completed or interested in a relevant agriculture, agronomy or crop science qualification.
• Hands-on approach and willingness to learn from experienced agronomists, growers and branch teams.
• Confidence working outdoors and getting involved in practical paddock, testing and store-based tasks.

Responsibilities

• Learn by doing at our Wynyard branch, gaining practical paddock work and grower support experience.
• Assist with paddock work, crop inspections, seasonal activity and general on-farm tasks.
• Support testing and sample collection to inform agronomy recommendations.
• Help with deliveries, branch activity and store work to understand local agribusiness operations.
• Develop knowledge across crops, products, seasonal programs and customer service while working with the team.

What You'll Do:

Based from our Wynyard branch, this casual Graduate Agronomist role is all about learning by doing. You’ll work alongside experienced agronomists across North West Tasmania, gaining practical exposure to paddock work, grower support, deliveries, store operations, testing, and sample collection while building confidence in the field.

• Shadow experienced agronomists to understand how in-field advice is developed and delivered to growers
• Assist with paddock work, crop inspections, seasonal activity and general on‑farm tasks
• Support testing and sample collection to help inform agronomy recommendations
• Help with deliveries, branch activity and store work to build an understanding of local agribusiness operations
• Develop knowledge across crops, products, seasonal programs and customer service while working closely with the team

What You'll Bring:

• A genuine interest in agronomy, crops and building a career in agriculture
• Currently studying or recently completed or interested in a relevant agriculture, agronomy or crop science qualification
• A curious, hands‑on approach and willingness to learn from experienced agronomists, growers and branch teams
• Confidence working outdoors, asking questions and getting involved in practical paddock, testing and store‑based tasks
• A team‑first attitude and motivation to build local knowledge across the Wynyard and North West Tasmania region
• Computer literacy and willingness to learn systems used across agronomy and branch operations
