Mayfield Early Education Sydenham is seeking a passionate Early Childhood Educator for a casual role. You will help nurture, educate and supervise children in a caring, safe environment, collaborating with colleagues to deliver age-appropriate activities.

You will hold a Certificate III in ECEC (or ACECQA equivalent), have a valid WWCC and be willing to complete child protection, Red Nose, and food safety training. Flexibility to work 7am–6pm five days a week is valued.

• Knowledge of NQF, EYLF & Child Safe Standards

The Opportunity

Our Sydenham Centre has an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our incredible team on a Casual basis!

As an integral part of the Mayfield team, you will play a crucial role in creating a nurturing and educational environment for the children in our care.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring child safety & wellbeing using your active supervision skills.
• Collaborating with the team on age-appropriate curriculum implementation.
• Providing personalised attention, addressing unique learning styles and needs of the children in our care.
• Guiding behaviour through positive reinforcement for social and emotional development.
• Maintaining open communication with parents about a child's progress and concerns.
• Actively participating in team meetings for a cohesive approach to early childhood education.
• Fostering a positive, inclusive atmosphere embracing diverse backgrounds in a culturally sensitive manner.

You

• Available to pick up shifts between 7:00am - 6:00pm 5 days a week
• Working towards or hold a minimum of a Certificate III in ECEC (of ACECQA approved equivalent).
• Valid WWCC.
• Child protection / Red Nose / Food Safety training (or willing to obtain).
• Working knowledge of NQF, EYLF & Child Safe Standards
• Demonstrated passion for the Early Childhood sector.
