Job summary

Mayfield Early Education Sydenham is seeking a Casual Educator to join the team. You will support a nurturing learning environment, supervise children, and contribute to age-appropriate curriculum delivery, fostering independence and belonging.

You will work five days a week, 7:00am–6:00pm, with a focus on safety, communication with families, and collaborative teamwork within the Mayfield framework.

Qualifications

• Available to pick up shifts between 7:00am and 6:00pm, five days a week.
• Minimum Certificate III in ECEC (ACECQA approved equivalent).
• Valid WWCC.
• Child protection / Red Nose / Food Safety training (or willing to obtain).
• Knowledge of NQF, EYLF and Child Safe Standards.
• Passion for the Early Childhood sector.

Responsibilities

• Ensure child safety and wellbeing through active supervision.
• Collaborate on age-appropriate curriculum implementation.
• Provide personalised attention addressing diverse learning needs.
• Guide behaviour with positive reinforcement for social-emotional development.
• Maintain open communication with parents about progress and concerns.
• Participate in team meetings for cohesive early education approach.

OurSydenham Centrehas an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicatedEarly Childhood Educatorto join our incredible team on a Casual basis!

As an integral part of the Mayfield team, you will play a crucial role in creating a nurturing and educational environment for the children in our care.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring child safety & wellbeing using your active supervision skills.
• Collaborating with the team on age-appropriate curriculum implementation.
• Providing personalised attention, addressing unique learning styles and needs of the children in our care.
• Guiding behaviour through positive reinforcement for social and emotional development.
• Maintaining open communication with parents about a child's progress and concerns.
• Actively participating in team meetings for a cohesive approach to early childhood education.
• Fostering a positive, inclusive atmosphere embracing diverse backgrounds in a culturally sensitive manner.

You

• A vailable to pick up shifts between 7:00am - 6:00pm 5 days a week
• Working towards or hold a minimum of a Certificate III in ECEC (of ACECQA approved equivalent).
• Valid WWCC.
• Child protection / Red Nose / Food Safety training (or willing to obtain).
• Working knowledge of NQF, EYLF & Child Safe Standards
• Demonstrated passion for the Early Childhood sector.
