Job summary

Mayfield Early Education Seaford is seeking a passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our caring team on a casual basis. You will help create a warm, safe, and engaging environment for children in our care.

Your role includes supervising children actively, contributing to age-appropriate curriculum, tailoring support to individual learning needs, guiding positive behaviour, and keeping open communication with families. We foster inclusivity and cultural respect.

The Opportunity

Our Seaford Centre has an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our incredible team on a Casual basis!

As an integral part of the Mayfield team, you will play a crucial role in creating a nurturing and educational environment for the children in our care.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring child safety & wellbeing using your active supervision skills.
• Collaborating with the team on age-appropriate curriculum implementation.
• Providing personalised attention, addressing unique learning styles and needs of the children in our care.
• Guiding behaviour through positive reinforcement for social and emotional development.
• Maintaining open communication with parents about a child's progress and concerns.
• Actively participating in team meetings for a cohesive approach to early childhood education.
• Fostering a positive, inclusive atmosphere embracing diverse backgrounds in a culturally sensitive manner.

You

• Available to pick up shifts 5 days a week any times
• Working towards or hold a minimum of a Cert III / Diploma in ECEC (of ACECQA approved equivalent).
• Valid WWCC.
• Child protection / Red Nose / Food Safety training (or willing to obtain).
• Working knowledge of NQF, EYLF & Child Safe Standards
• Demonstrated passion for the Early Childhood sector.

You will enjoy communicating with, and building trusted relationships with children, their families and the wider community.
