Job summary

Busy Bees is seeking a passionate and adaptable Casual Educator to join Busy Bees at Torquay, VIC. You’ll support play-based learning, assist with daily routines, and help create a safe, nurturing environment across shifts from 6:30am to 6:30pm.

Ideal candidates hold a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or are working towards), and current First Aid, CPR, and Working with Children Check for VIC. Experience in Australian childcare is valued.

• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or working towards).
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain).
• Current Working with Children Check for VIC.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of engaging play-based learning experiences aligned with EYLF.
• Assist in providing a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all children.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
• Support daily routines, activities, and supervision of children.
• Contribute to maintaining high standards aligned with NQS.

Casual Educator | $38.71 – $47.68 per hour | Torquay, VIC

We’re seeking a passionate and adaptable Casual Educator to support our team at Busy Bees at Torquay , located at 15–17 Falcon Drive, Torquay VIC 3228 , on a casual basis. You will play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children feel supported and inspired to learn.

What you’ll do

• Supporting the implementation of engaging play-based learning experiences aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
• Assisting in providing a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all children
• Building positive relationships with children, families, and team members
• Supporting daily routines, activities, and supervision of children
• Contributing to maintaining high standards aligned with the National Quality Standards (NQS)

What you’ll bring

• A genuine commitment to child safety, speaking up, always doing the right thing, and alignment with Busy Bees values
• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or working towards)
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain)
• Current Working with Children Check for VIC
• Experience working as an Educator within Australia is highly regarded
• Flexibility to work across shifts between 6:30am and 6:30pm, Monday to Friday
