Job summary

Aruma is seeking casual Support Workers in Taree/Forster, NSW to help people with disability live more independently through person-centred support, daily living assistance and community participation.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates genuine passion for supporting people with disability.
• Reliable, compassionate and committed to making a difference.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, evenings, sleepovers and active nights.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with a positive attitude, empathy and resilience.
• Willingness to obtain NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, and First Aid/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support tailored to individual goals and aspirations.
• Assist with daily living activities, personal care, and community access.
• Support participants to build confidence, life skills and independence.
• Encourage social inclusion and participation in community activities.
• Develop positive relationships with participants, families, carers and other stakeholders.
• Promote dignity, choice, rights and inclusion in every interaction.
