Job summary

Aruma is seeking Casual Support Workers in Moe, Victoria to empower people with disability to live self-directed lives and pursue meaningful activities. You will provide person-centred support, assist with daily living and community access, and help participants build independence and social connections.

Flexibility for weekends/evenings and availability for various shifts is valued. Willingness to obtain necessary clearances, including NDIS screening, is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in disability, community services, aged care, or support work preferred.
• NDIS Worker Screening clearance or willingness to obtain.
• First Aid/CPR certification required or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support to individuals to achieve goals and independence.
• Assist with daily living activities and community access.
• Support development of skills, social connections, and personal care as needed.
• Build positive relationships with participants, families and carers.
• Uphold dignity, choice, inclusion and human rights in all interactions.
