Job summary

Aruma is seeking casual Support Workers in Cragmuir, VIC, to provide person-centred support to adults, young people and children with disability. You’ll work with participants, families and communities to promote dignity, independence and inclusion.

Key duties include daily living support, personal care, documenting progress, and following individual support plans. A valid driver’s license is helpful; First Aid/CPR and checks may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with complex needs and behaviours is desirable.
• Willing to obtain First Aid/CPR Certificate and Checks.

Responsibilities

• Support participants with daily living activities and personal care.
• Assist with household and domestic tasks.
• Encourage independence and skill development.
• Support community participation and social inclusion.
• Implement individual support plans and goals.
• Follow Positive Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
• Administer medication as per policy and health plans.
• Complete progress notes and documentation.
• Build positive relationships with participants, families, carers and stakeholders.
• Ensure participant safety and safeguarding requirements.
