Job summary

Aruma is seeking compassionate Support Workers for casual shifts in Mooroopna, VIC. You will provide person-centred support to adults, youth and children with disability, helping them achieve goals with dignity and independence.

Join a values-driven team and contribute to community participation, safeguarding and inclusion while delivering flexible care across 7 days between 8am and 6pm.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with complex needs and behaviours is highly desirable.
• Ability to work across 7 days between 8am–6pm with flexible availability.
• Willingness to obtain First Aid/ CPR, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Support participants with daily living activities and personal care.
• Assist with household and domestic tasks.
• Encourage independence and skill development.
• Support community participation and social inclusion.
• Implement individual support plans and goals.
• Follow Positive Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
• Administer medication in accordance with policy and health plans.
• Accurately complete progress notes and documentation.
• Build positive relationships with participants, families and carers.
• Ensure participant safety, wellbeing and safeguarding requirements are met.
• Promote participant rights, dignity and self-determination.
