Inner West Council seeks a Casual Creche Assistant to help provide a safe, welcoming environment where children can learn, play, and thrive at our Aquatic Centres. You will assist in activities that support development and care for each child during attendance, contributing to a supportive team effort.

The role emphasizes safety, engagement, and respectful communication with children, parents and staff, while supporting programming and administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in centre based care of children.
• Ability to provide quality care for all children.
• Ability to provide customer service and communicate effectively with children, parents and other staff.
• Ability to work unsupervised in a team environment.
• Current First Aid Certificate

About the role

As a Casual Creche Assistant, you will assist with providing a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where children can learn, play, and thrive within the Inner West Council's Aquatic Centres. This is a fantastic casual opportunity for someone who is passionate about early childhood development and enjoys being part of a supportive team that makes a real difference in the community. This role will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all children for the length of time they attend, the respect and care for each child that attends the childcare centre, assisting in the programming of activities for the development and growth of children and assisting with the administration of the childcare.
