Job summary

Infinite Aged Care in Mt Lofty is seeking a casual Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents and supervise kitchen staff, upholding high food safety standards in a welcoming dining environment.

The role reports to the General Manager and Chef Manager, with menus tailored to dietary needs and cultural backgrounds. It is a physically active position requiring safe lifting and daily movement, and NDIA/NDIS pre-employment checks may be required.

Qualifications

• Hold a Certificate III or higher in Commercial Cookery.
• Food Safety Supervisor certificate desirable.
• Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Committed to safety, upskilling and resident-focused mindset.
• Previous experience in Aged Care or Health is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Create delicious, nutritious meals that respect residents’ dietary needs and cultural backgrounds.
• Lead and supervise kitchen staff and day-to-day operations.
• Oversee food purchasing, stock control and kitchen efficiency.
• Cater for special occasions and community events.
• Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised kitchen.
