Job summary

Calvary The Brelsford- Coffs Harbour is seeking a casual Cook to support the kitchen team in delivering high-quality meals for residents. You will work with the Chef to ensure food safety, auditing, and cooking to support a positive dining experience.

The role requires experience in residential care or health settings, knowledge of menu planning, stock management, and allergen handling, plus relevant certifications. Above award wages offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role in the residential care or health care sectors.
• Knowledge of menu planning, ordering, stock management, IDDSI, staff supervision and allergen management.
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is the minimum.
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (Health Care Competencies) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee the preparation of daily meals for residents with dietary requirements.
• Ensure meals are fresh, well presented, and appetising.
• Maintain compliance with food safety standards and codes.
• Liaise with residents and families to ensure high satisfaction with food services.
