Job summary

Wellways Australia is seeking a casual Support Worker to help participants live fulfilling lives in the community, based in Jindabyne, NSW. You may assist with personal care, domestic tasks and social activities, with travel outside town as needed.

Open availability is valued; training and support including NDIS-related checks are provided. A driver’s license and vehicle are required to support transport for participants.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate 3 in Mental Health, Disability, Aged Care, Home and Community Care or related fields (Desired, but not essential)
• Experience with physical disabilities is advantageous
• Current valid Driver's License and a registered, insured vehicle
• National Police Check (within last 12 months) and Working with Children Check
• NDIS Orientation Certificate - free online course
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Manual Handling training would be desired

Responsibilities

• Assist participants with daily living including personal care and domestic activities
• Support participation in social and community activities and skill development
• Provide care in the community to help participants live fulfilling lives
