Job summary

Liverpool City Council is seeking a casual childcare assistant to join the Children’s Services team within the Community and Lifestyle portfolio in Liverpool. You will support the daily operation of the childcare centre and work with staff to deliver a nurturing, safe and educational environment for children.

Successful applicants will have a Certificate III in Children's Services, a current First Aid certificate, and a Working with Children Check.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Children's Services and NSW approved Child Protection Training.
• Current First Aid Certificate and Working with Children Check verification.
• Working with Children Check verification number required.

Responsibilities

• Assist centre staff in implementing programs and childcare services to provide a safe, stimulating environment.
• Comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Maintain centre educational philosophy and Council policies.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
• Provide a positive role model for children, families and visitors.
