Job summary

Foxdog Distillery & Brewery is seeking capable, reliable Chefs/Cooks to join the kitchen team. Casual roles offer approximately 30–40 hours per week, depending on experience and availability.

Responsibilities include cooking to Foxdog's standards, pizza prep, and supporting weddings, functions and events. Strong food hygiene and time-management skills are essential. Applicants should be flexible to work weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Chef or Cook in a busy kitchen.
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
• Pizza preparation and cooking experience desired.
• Strong food preparation and cooking skills.
• Reliable and able to work under pressure.

Foxdog Distillery & Brewery is looking for capable, reliable and enthusiastic Chefs/Cooks to join the kitchen team. These casual positions offer approximately 30–40 hours per week, depending on experience and availability.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking menu items to Foxdog's recipes and presentation standards
• Working across different sections of the kitchen as required
• Completing daily food preparation and service tasks
• Maintaining quality, consistency and portion control
• Preparing pizza dough, sauces, toppings and other ingredients
• Stretching, topping and cooking pizzas consistently
• Managing preparation levels before and during service
• Assisting with weddings, functions and special events
• Monitoring ingredients and communicating stock requirements
• Following food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures

About you

• Previous experience as a Chef or Cook in a busy commercial kitchen
• A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience, where applicable
• Previous pizza preparation and cooking experience, which is highly desirable
• Strong food preparation and cooking skills
• Good organisation and time management
• The ability to work efficiently and consistently during high-volume services
• A calm and reliable approach under pressure
• A sound understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene
• Reliability, initiative and a positive attitude
• Availability across a flexible hospitality roster, including weekends and some evenings

Foxdog Distillery & Brewery is an award-winning distillery and brewery, busy restaurant, live music destination and events venue located at Sunnyside Park in Mogo on the NSW South Coast. The kitchen serves relaxed, high-quality food designed to complement Foxdog's house-distilled spirits and locally brewed beer. We also cater for weddings, functions, celebrations and special events.

Approximately 30–40 hours per week available for each successful applicant, depending on experience and availability
