Job summary

The Hub Medical Centre and Huntley HomeCare in Burpengary, Queensland, is seeking a compassionate Aged & Disability Support Worker to join our community aged care team on a casual basis. Qualifications

• Passion for working with older people and disabilities.
• Certificate III in Aged Care or Disability Support (or equivalent).
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Working with Children check/Blue Card or willingness to obtain.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transport.
• Ability to work flexibly in a casual role.
• Commitment to client confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including bathing, dressing and toileting.
• Assist with meals and light household tasks.
• Medication reminders and ensuring adherence.
• Provide companionship and social engagement.
• Assist mobility and safe transfers with aids.
• Maintain care notes and report changes to supervisors.
• Uphold privacy, dignity and client preferences.
• Collaborate with clients, families and care team.
• Follow health, safety, infection control and manual handling protocols.
• Support participation in community activities.
