Job summary

Mission Australia in Carnarvon is seeking a part-time Family and Domestic Violence Coordinated Response Service worker to provide trauma-informed, culturally safe case management for individuals, families and children affected by family violence. You will assess risk, develop safety plans and advocate for access to essential supports in collaboration with WA Police and local services.

The role is on-site in Carnarvon (Gwoonwardu) WA, requires minimum qualifications and a commitment to empowering

Qualifications

  • Certificate III in Community Services or related discipline; commitment to pursuing Certificate IV.
  • Experience providing case management to clients with complex needs, especially those affected by family violence.
  • Knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and protocols; ability to deliver culturally safe services.
  • Full driver licence with no restrictions; willingness to undergo checks and clearances.

Responsibilities

  • Review incident reports and conduct intake, risk assessments and needs determinations.
  • Develop safety and case plans with clients; ensure culturally safe, client-centred services.
  • Provide ongoing case management, advocacy and referrals to access supports.
  • Assist clients through legal/protection processes and coordinate interim interventions.
  • Engage with clients via outreach, phone, or video for timely support.
  • Build relationships with community partners; participate in interagency meetings.
