Job summary

My Gateway in Sydney is seeking a motivated 1st, 2nd or 3rd Year Apprentice to join a small, hands-on team specialising in glazing and carpentry across residential and commercial projects. You will gain hands-on experience with glazing and carpentry tasks, framing, and general residential construction under the guidance of experienced tradespeople.

The role offers mentoring, weekly pay, and pathways toward a nationally recognised trade qualification.

Qualifications

• Open to 1st, 2nd or 3rd Year Apprentices with glazing or construction interest.
• Willingness to learn and develop trade skills on-site.
• Ability to work with hand and power tools safely.

What We’re Looking For

We’re open to 1st, 2nd and 3rd Year Apprentices, with previous glazing or construction experience highly regarded.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A genuine interest in developing a career in glazing, carpentry or construction
• Current driver's licence and reliable car
• Ability to work efficiently with hand and power tools
• Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling and heavy lifting
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to follow instructions and work well within a small team
• A safety-focused approach to work
• Previous glazing, carpentry or construction experience is advantageous

About the Host

You’ll be joining a small residential and commercial team specialising in glazing and carpentry.

Working within a close-knit team means you’ll have the opportunity to get involved in a wide variety of tasks rather than being limited to one area of the trade.

You’ll work closely with the Leading Hand and experienced tradespeople, gaining practical exposure to glazing, framing, carpentry and general residential construction while developing the skills needed to progress your apprenticeship.
