Job summary

My Gateway in New South Wales is offering an apprenticeship in residential carpentry. You’ll work across all stages of construction, measure, cut, and assemble materials, install doors and flooring, and read plans.

You’ll complete a Certificate III in Carpentry while gaining hands-on experience and mentoring from experienced tradespeople. This role involves working away from home with allowances; you’ll receive weekly pay, government incentives opportunities, and four weeks of paid annual leave

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship leading to Certificate III in Carpentry will be completed during on-site training.
• Role trains across all residential carpentry stages.
• Must obtain White Card or willingness to obtain one.

Job description

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Working across all stages of residential carpentry, from structural work through to finishing touches.
• Measuring, cutting, and assembling materials to build and install frameworks and structures.
• Installing doors, windows, flooring, and detailed finishing work.
• Reading and interpreting plans to bring builds to life.
• Maintaining tools, equipment, and a safe work environment on site.

As part of this apprenticeship, you’ll complete a Certificate III in Carpentry while gaining hands-on experience across all aspects of residential construction, setting you up for a long-term career in the trade.

You’ll be working within a small, tight-knit team on residential projects, giving you exposure to a wide variety of carpentry tasks and the opportunity to learn directly from experienced tradespeople.

NOTE: This role typically involves working away from home, with applicable allowances and entitlements included.
