Job summary

I&M Joinery Pty Ltd is seeking full-time carpenters and joiners to join our teams in Sydney. Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, sourcing materials, and constructing timber frameworks and cabinetry for residential and commercial projects.

Candidates should have certificate III or IV in carpentry or joinery, at least 2 years' experience (or 3 years in lieu of formal qualifications). Australian work rights required; salary 80,000–90,000 AUD per year.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications including certificate III or IV in carpentry or joinery.
• Minimum 2 years experience in relevant field or 3 years carpentry or joinery experience in lieu of formal qualifications.
• Ability to interpret drawings and technical specifications.
• Competent in marking, cutting and fitting timber components.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications to identify materials, measurements and installation methods.
• Source, select and organise timber and other construction materials for each project.
• Measure, mark and prepare layouts before fabrication begins.
• Cut, shape and assemble timber components with hand and power tools.
• Construct and install frameworks, roofing, flooring and partitions with precision.
• Install external elements such as cladding, window/door frames and roof coverings.
• Fabricate cabinetry and display units for residential and commercial projects.
• Collaborate with designers, project managers and other trades to deliver fit-outs on schedule.
