Job summary

BaptistCare NSW & ACT is seeking a part-time Care Worker to support older Australians across Sydney and surrounding areas, with travel between client homes as part of daily responsibilities. You will assist with in-home duties including cleaning, personal care, meal prep, and transportation to appointments, while building meaningful connections to help clients live independently in their own homes.

About the Role

As a Care Worker supporting clients across Sydney and surrounds (including Inner West, South East Sydney and Eastern Suburbs) you will be required to travel between multiple client locations throughout these service areas as part of your day-to-day responsibilities. You will be part of our BaptistCare At Home team that provides quality complex care and support to our clients in their own homes. You may assist with a range of tasks pertaining to household cleaning, showering, dressing, food preparation, continence support, medication assistance and transport to name a few. You will also develop genuine connections with your clients and help them live their best possible lives.

This is a permanent part-time role offering up to 60 hours per fortnight.

How We Support You

To support you from your very first day, we provide:

• Earn $34.42/hr (unqualified) - $36.23/hr (qualified) plus superannuation per hour + paid travel time and mileage between clients

What You’ll Bring

You will have an unrestricted Australian Driver Licence and a reliable vehicle with minimum Third-Party Property Damage Insurance to transport clients. You will be a strong communicator with resilience and patience. You will be a proficient user of smartphone technology, apps and email. You have a caring nature, strong patience and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in someone’s day.
