Job summary

BaptistCare NSW & ACT is seeking a Casual Care Worker to support clients across York, Northam, Toodyay and surrounds. You will travel between multiple client locations, helping with household tasks, personal care, meal preparation and mobility while building genuine connections to promote independence.

You’ll join our At Home team and benefit from orientation, supervisor support, a mobile device, and pathways for development.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with household tasks such as cleaning, meal prep and mobility.
• Provide personal care activities including showering and dressing, and medication assistance as needed.
• Travel between multiple client locations across York, Northam, Toodyay and surrounds as part of daily duties.

About the Role

As a CasualCare Worker supporting clients across York, Northam, Toodyayand surrounds. You will be required to travel between multiple client locations throughout these service areas as part of your day-to-day responsibilities. You will be part of our BaptistCare At Home team that provides quality complex care and support to our clients in their own homes. You may assist with a range of tasks pertaining to household cleaning, showering, dressing, food preparation, continence support, medication assistance and transport to name a few. You will also develop genuine connections with your clients and help them live their best possible lives.

How We Support You

• A comprehensive orientation program including buddy shifts

• A mobile phone to access emails, rosters and client care plans
• Access to a dedicated learning and development team to support your ongoing professional development and career pathways
• Earn $32.60/hr (unqualified) - $36.23/hr (qualified) plus superannuation per hour + paid travel time and mileage between clients

What You'll Bring

You will have an unrestricted Australian Driver Licence and a reliable vehicle with minimum Third-Party Property Damage Insurance to transport clients. You will be a strong communicator with resilience and patience. You will be a proficient user of smartphone technology, apps and email. You have a caring nature, strong patience and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in someone’s day.
