Job summary

Uniting NSW.ACT is hiring a Home Care Worker in Port Macquarie to support elderly clients in their homes. This permanent part-time role runs Monday to Friday, with a pay rate of $36.23-$37.68 per hour plus 99c per kilometre and travel time.

You’ll help with housekeeping, meals, personal care and transportation to appointments, empowering independence and improving quality of life within the local community.

Qualifications

• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care or equivalent qualification.
• Prior experience in aged or community care is preferred.
• Empathetic and resourceful, aligned with Uniting's values.

Responsibilities

• Assist with housekeeping, grocery shopping and meal preparation.
• Escort clients to appointments, shopping trips and social activities.
• Support personal care, hygiene, showering, dressing, meal assistance and medication administration.

• Transport for wellbeing: Escort clients to appointments, shopping trips, and social activities.
• Personal Care: Support with personal hygiene, showering, dressing, meal assistance, and medication administration.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in aged or community care is preferred, or a strong desire to begin a career in aged care.
• Empathetic and resourceful, embodying Uniting’s values of compassion, respect, imagination, and boldness.
• Flexibility to accommodate the evolving needs and schedules of our clients.
• A provisional or full Australian driving license and access to a comprehensively insured, reliable vehicle.
