Job summary

Uniting Mingaletta in Port Macquarie is seeking a dedicated Care Worker to provide person-centered care to residents in our aged care home. You will support independence and wellbeing in a warm, home-like environment.

You will perform daily living tasks, assist with personal care, mobility, meals, and participate in community activities. A Certificate III/IV in Individual Support and 3–6 months aged care experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing) is required.
• 3–6 months experience in Aged Care or Community Care preferred.
• Experience in memory support or household living model is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents to support independence and quality of life.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as showering, personal hygiene, dressing, meals and mobility.
• Assist with medication and simple wound dressings.
• Support residents in community-based recreational and social activities.

Situated in Port Macquarie, Uniting Mingaletta is a residential aged care facility offering a welcoming living environment. Our facility is designed using the household model of care. This fosters a warm, family-like atmosphere where we strive to ensure every resident feels at home. A Day in the Life, with Uniting Aged Care

Position Overview

As a Care Worker, you will provide compassionate, person‑centred care to residents living in our aged care facility. Your support enables residents to retain independence and maximise their quality of life in a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• You’ll provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents living in our aged care home, to help support their independence and improve their quality of life


• Providing daily living assistance such as showering, personal hygiene, dressing, help at mealtimes and with general mobility


• Assisting with medication and simple wound dressings and


• Supporting residents in community‑based recreational and social activities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Hold a Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing), or equivalent qualification.


• Must have 3-6 months experience in Aged Care or Community Care.


• Experience in memory support or household living model is highly desirable.


• Must have 3-6 months experience in Aged Care or Community Care.


• Be adaptable, empathetic, and resourceful, and you will be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
