BaptistCare is seeking a Care Worker for At Home Services to assist older Australians in the Warren area and surrounding towns. You will travel to clients’ homes, perform personal and household support tasks, and build meaningful connections to help clients live independently and with dignity.

Orientation, supervision and development programs are provided. The role emphasizes strong communication, resilience and patience, with flexible hours and travel between sites to support multiple clients

• Assist with personal care tasks as needed (showering, dressing, grooming) and meal preparation

• Participate in orientation, supervision and ongoing professional development

About The role

As a Care Worker supporting clients in the Warren and surrounding areas, you will be part of our BaptistCare At Home team that provides quality complex care and support to our clients in their own homes. You may assist with a range of tasks pertaining to household cleaning, showering, dressing, food preparation, continence support, medication assistance and transport to name a few. You will also develop genuine connections with your clients and help them live their best possible lives.

Travel: You will be required to travel for services to Nyngan, Trangie and surrounds. Please consider if this is suitable prior to applying for the role.

Availability: 5-day availability is ideal, however core requirement is Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays; 8am-4pm

To Support You In Your Role

• We offer a comprehensive orientation program including buddy shifts
• You’ll have direct access to a dedicated supervisor to support you
• You’ll be provided with a mobile phone to access emails, rosters and client care plans
• Access to a dedicated learning and development team to support your ongoing professional development and career pathways
• Earn $34.42/hr (unqualified) - $36.23/hr (qualified) plus superannuation per hour + paid travel time and mileage between clients

What Do We Need From You

You will have an unrestricted Australian Driver Licence and a reliable vehicle with minimum Third-Party Property Damage Insurance to transport clients. You will be a strong communicator with resilience and patience. You will be a proficient user of smartphone technology, apps and email.
