BaptistCare NSW & ACT is seeking a Care Worker to provide at-home support for older Australians in the Cowra area. You will help with daily tasks such as cleaning, showering, dressing, meal prep, medication assistance, and transport, building genuine connections with clients in their own homes.

The role offers flexible hours, an orientation program, a dedicated supervisor, a smartphone to access client plans, and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• You will hold an unrestricted Australian Driver Licence and a reliable vehicle to transport clients.
• You will communicate effectively with clients and the care team.
• You will be comfortable using smartphone apps and email.

About the role

As a Care Worker supporting clients in the Cowra and surrounding areas, you will be part of our BaptistCare At Home team that provides quality complex care and support to our clients in their own homes. You may assist with a range of tasks pertaining to household cleaning, showering, dressing, food preparation, continence support, medication assistance and transport to name a few. You will also develop genuine connections with your clients and help them live their best possible lives.

Travel for services include; Carcoar, Mandurama, Rockley, Neville, Hobbys Yards, Trunkey Creek, Perthville, Bathurst & Orange. Please consider if this is suitable for you prior to application. Applications indicate an understanding and willingness of the travel required.

Preference for an 8am start time for services, with a potential of upto 30 hour/fortnight based on availability.

To support you in your role

• We offer a comprehensive orientation program including buddy shifts
• You’ll have direct access to a dedicated supervisor to support you
• You’ll be provided with a mobile phone to access emails, rosters and client care plans
• Access to a dedicated learning and development team to support your ongoing professional development and career pathways
• Earn $34.42/hr (unqualified) - $36.23/hr (qualified) plus superannuation per hour + paid travel time and mileage between clients

What do we need from you?

You will have an unrestricted Australian Driver Licence and a reliable vehicle with minimum Third-Party Property Damage Insurance to transport clients. You will be a strong communicator with resilience and patience. You will be a proficient user of smartphone technology, apps and email.
