Job summary

Uniting NSW.ACT in Taralga, NSW is seeking caring and compassionate individuals to join our aged care team. Flexibility across full-time and part-time roles, with hourly pay up to $36.23 plus super and NFP tax benefits.

You’ll provide care, companionship and daily living assistance to residents to maintain independence and improve their quality of life. Applicants should hold a Certificate III/IV in Aged Care or equivalent, have experience in aged or community care, and demonstrate adaptability

Qualifications

• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in aged or community care or willingness to start in aged care.
• Adaptable, empathetic and aligned with Uniting’s values.

Responsibilities

• Provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents.
• Assist with daily living activities including showering, hygiene, dressing and meals.
• Assist with medications and simple wound dressings.
• Support residents in community-based recreational activities.

Location: Taralga, NSW. Contract: Full time/ Part time opportunities. Salary: Up to $36.23 p/h + super, penalties & NFP tax benefits.

What you’ll be doing in this role

• You’ll provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents living in our aged care home, to help support their independence and improve their quality of life
• Providing daily living assistance such as showering, personal hygiene, dressing, help at mealtimes and with general mobility
• Assisting with medication and simple wound dressings and
• Supporting residents in community-based recreational and social activities.

Who we’re looking for

• You’ll have a Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification.
• You’ll have previous experience in aged or community care, or a passion to begin your career in aged care if you’re studying or have recently become qualified.
• You’ll be adaptable, empathetic, and resourceful, and you will be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
