Job summary

Uniting Singleton Facilities in Singleton, NSW, is seeking dedicated aged care workers to provide care, companionship and support to residents. You’ll assist with daily living activities, medication assistance and participate in social activities to enhance quality of life.

The role offers permanent vacancies, with AM, PM and night shifts across two homes. A Certificate III/IV in Aged Care is preferred, with salary around $36.23 per hour plus super.

Qualifications

• Ideally, you’ll have a Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification.
• You’ll have previous experience in aged or community care.
• You’ll be adaptable, empathetic and resourceful with Uniting’s values.

About Uniting Singleton Facilities

Elizabeth Gatesis a welcoming aged care home in an intimate community of 35 residents and is nestled in the peaceful rural township of Singleton in the Hunter Valley region.

Alroy Househas two separate households, each with between 24 and 25 residents, including a secure Memory Support Unit for people living with dementia. Our Uniting Homemaker ensures that the community is thriving and doing things that are meaningful and enjoyable.

What you’ll be doing in this role

• You’ll provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents living in our aged care home, to help support their independence and improve their quality of life
• Providing daily living assistance such as showering, personal hygiene, dressing, help at mealtimes and with general mobility
• Assisting with medication and simple wound dressings and
• Supporting residents in community-based recreational and social activities.

Who we’re looking for

• Ideally, you’ll have a Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification. If you’re not qualified and would like to be, we can help you get there.
• You’ll have previous experience in aged or community care, or a passion to begin your career in aged care if you’re studying or have recently become qualified.
