Job summary

Uniting is seeking carers at the Emu Plains location to make every shift meaningful by supporting residents to live their day, their way. The role offers up to $36.23 per hour with casual loading and super, with availability through October and November 2026.

You will provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents, help with daily living activities and assist with medications where required, while facilitating social and recreational activities in the community setting.

Qualifications

• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in aged or community care is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents.
• Assist with daily living activities: showering, personal hygiene, dressing and mobility.
• Assist with medication and simple wound dressings as needed.
• Support residents in community-based recreational and social activities.

What You’ll Be Doing In This Role

• You’ll provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents living in our aged care home, to help support their independence and improve their quality of life
• Providing daily living assistance such as showering, personal hygiene, dressing, help at mealtimes and with general mobility
• Assisting with medication and simple wound dressings
• Supporting residents in community-based recreational and social activities.

Who We’re Looking For

• You’ll have a Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification.
• You’ll have previous experience in aged or community care, or a passion to begin your career in aged care if you’re studying or have recently become qualified.
• You’ll be adaptable, empathetic, and resourceful, and you will be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
