Job summary

Uniting NSW.ACT is seeking compassionate aged care professionals to join our team in providing daily care and companionship to residents.

You’ll deliver daily living assistance, support independence, assist with medications, and participate in social activities, while upholding our values of compassion, respect, imagination and boldness.

Qualifications

• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in aged or community care, or willingness to start in aged care.
• Adaptable, empathetic and resourceful; aligns with Uniting's values of compassion, respect, imagination and boldness.

Responsibilities

• Provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents living in the aged care home to support independence and quality of life.
• Provide daily living assistance such as showering, personal hygiene, dressing, help at mealtimes and with mobility.
• Assist with medication and simple wound dressings.
• Support residents in community-based recreational and social activities.

What You'll Be Doing In This Role

• You'll provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents living in our aged care home, to help support their independence and improve their quality of life

• Assisting with medication and simple wound dressings
• Supporting residents in community-based recreational and social activities.

Who We're Looking For

• Ideally, you'll have a Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification.
• You'll have previous experience in aged or community care, or a passion to begin your career in aged care if you're studying or have recently become qualified.
• You'll be adaptable, empathetic, and resourceful, and you will be able to live Uniting's everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
