Job summary

Uniting NSW.ACT is seeking dedicated aged care workers to provide care, companionship and support to residents in our aged care home.

You'll assist with daily living activities, medication assistance and participate in community-based activities while upholding Uniting's values of compassion and inclusivity. A Certificate III/IV in Aged Care or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care or equivalent preferred.
• Previous aged or community care experience or willingness to start in aged care.

Responsibilities

• Provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents.
• Assist with daily living activities (showering, hygiene, dressing, meals, mobility).
• Assist with medication and simple wound dressings.
• Support residents in community-based recreational and social activities.

Education

Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification

What you'll be doing in this role

• You'll provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents living in our aged care home, to help support their independence and improve their quality of life
• Providing daily living assistance such as showering, personal hygiene, dressing, help at mealtimes and with general mobility
• Assisting with medication and simple wound dressings
• Supporting residents in community-based recreational and social activities.
