Job summary

Bolton Clarke Careers – Sunshine Coast QLD is seeking a frontline dining assistant in our Tantula Rise residential aged care home. You will support residents with meals, delivering and presenting dishes with dignity and person-centred care at the table.

You will help with meal planning, consider allergies and intolerances, maintain accurate nutrition information, prepare dining areas, and provide social engagement during mealtimes while upholding our Food Safety Plan and Bolton Clarke standards.

• Previous restaurant and/or commercial kitchen experience is valued.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, delivery, presentation and serving of resident meals.
• Support residents with meals and dining according to their routines.
• Manage meal choices, catering to allergies and intolerances.
• Enhance the overall dining experience and promote resident dignity.
• Prepare and set up dining areas to meet individual needs.
• Engage socially with residents during mealtimes with empathy and kindness.
• Maintain accurate nutrition and diet information as required.
• Assist with quality food preparation per the Food Safety Plan and Dining Framework.
• Assist with maintaining kitchen stock supplies as required.

The Location: Tantula Rise is a Residential Aged Care Home located in Alexandra Headland on the Sunshine Coast

The Role

This roleplays a pivotal frontline carer role with a particular focus on nutrition and dining, supporting residents to live a life of fulfilment through the delivery of person-centred care and support according to needs and preferences of each resident in everyday practice.Assistingin the preparation, delivery, presentation and serving of resident meals.

Your responsibilities will be to provide care and support aligned withresidents’preferred daily routines with a strong focus on:

Meal choices and individual nutrition

Consideration of allergies and food intolerances

Enhancing the overall dining experience

Assistresidents with mealselectionand meal timing preferences

Prepare and set up dining areas to meet individual needs and preferences

Actively engage with residents to provide social and emotional support during mealtimes

Use empathy and kindness to foster a positive dining experience

Promote resident choice and control to uphold dignity and respect

Prepare andmaintaindining experience areas and provide meal service to meet individual resident choices

Maintainaccuratenutrition and diet information asrequired

Assistwith quality food preparationin accordance withthe Food Safety Plan, Bolton Clarke Food Standards and Dining Framework

Assistwithmaintainingkitchen stock supplies asrequired

To be successful, you will have:

Demonstrated customer service skills

A compassionate and caring attitude

Previousrestaurant and/or commercial kitchen experience (highly regarded)

Willingness to take direction from others

Reliability and shift flexibility

Good timemanagement skills and the ability to work well under pressure

Valid working rights in Australia (Passport, Birth Certificate etc)

Willing to Complete a police check
