Job summary

FOCUS Connect is seeking a Staff & Scheduling Manager to lead scheduling, staffing and workforce deployment across our home care teams. You will manage frontline staff and volunteers, prioritise safety and wellbeing, and ensure continuity of care in a fast-paced environment.

You will use data-driven insights to optimise scheduling, workforce capacity and service delivery, while maintaining excellent client and staff experience in line with aged care standards.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and managing frontline teams.
• Strong problem-solving, resilience and agility in a fast-moving environment.
• Genuine commitment to customer service and client experience.
• Strong organisation, communication and people leadership skills.
• Ability to use workforce and scheduling data to improve performance.
• Experience in aged care, home care, disability or high-volume service environments.
• Knowledge of SCHADS Award is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Take a hands-on lead in scheduling and workforce deployment, maximizing service delivery.
• Lead and support scheduling team, field staff and volunteers, with safety and wellbeing as first priority.
• Manage workforce capacity, leave, cancellations, service changes and unfilled services to maintain continuity.
• Ensure clients receive timely and respectful communication when schedules change or services are disrupted.
• Manage day-to-day field staff performance, attendance and engagement, with regular team meetings.
• Coordinate onboarding of new field staff to be roster-ready and effectively deployed.
• Use scheduling data to address issues and improve performance in line with aged care requirements.
