Job summary

Catholic Healthcare Limited, Jemalong Residential Aged Care facility Forbes, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide clinical leadership for residents and care teams. You will coach the clinical and support staff and ensure care delivery meets the Aged Care Quality Standards.

Reporting to the Residential Manager, you will support safety, IPC compliance, and aging-related health needs while working within a not-for-profit framework. This full-time role is based on-site at Forbes.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA Registered Nurse with knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards.
• Ability to lead and coach clinical and support teams.
• Strong understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes.
• Commitment to safety, IPC and workplace health & safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership to residents and care teams.
• Coach and develop nursing and support staff to achieve quality outcomes.
• Ensure treatment and care delivery adheres to standards and policies.
• Serve as second in charge to Residential Manager.

• Location - Jemalong Residential Aged Care facility Forbes
• Full Time - Monday 8am-4.30pm Tuesday - Friday 8am-4pm
• Pay rate – 65.20 - $69.30 per hour + superannuation
• Not-for-profit employer, so pay less tax!

Reporting to the Residential Manager, you will be providing clinical leadership and support to the clinical and personal care teams.

About the Role:

• Ensuring high-quality clinical care is provided to residents at all times, as per the Aged Care quality Standards and CHL policy and procedures
• Providing leadership and coaching to the clinical and support teams to ensure the delivery of quality resident outcomes
• Working in a safe manner, closely following all policies and procedures, including IPC, ensuring compliance with quality standards
• Working as 2nd in charge to the Residential Manager

To be successful in this role you’ll need

• A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
• Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
• Thorough understanding of the Aged Care Legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards
• Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes
• Comprehensive Clinical knowledge and understanding of the aging process, particularly age – related health issues
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of workplace health and safety
• Previous experience working within a Residential Aged care setting in a similar role
• Strong coaching/training skills and the ability to influence others
• Strong customer centric approach to business
• Able to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
