Job summary

Catholic Healthcare Limited is seeking a dedicated casual registered nurse in Darlinghurst, NSW. You will deliver high-quality nursing care to residents in our aged care home, under the Care Manager, with a person-centred approach.

Role includes leading the personal care team, coaching colleagues, and ensuring safety and compliance. Must hold AHPRA registration and knowledge of aged care standards; police check and NDIS clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration with Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent.
• Understanding of Aged Care Legislation and Quality Standards.
• Experience with AN-ACC assessment processes.
• Strong clinical knowledge of aging and health issues.

• Pay rate – $48.50 - $60.30 per hour + superannuation

Reporting directly to the Care Manager at Vincentian aged care, you will be providing a high standard of nursing clinical care with an individual, person centred approach to all residents within our residential aged care home.

About the Role

• Providing direct clinical nursing care to residents in line with best practice nursing procedures
• Acting as Team leader, providing coaching, supervision, and guidance to the personal care team
• Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents closely following all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you’ll need

• A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
• Current AHPRA registration following completion of a Bachelor of Nursing or similar
• Thorough understanding of the Aged Care Legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards
• Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes
• Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of the aging process, particularly age – related health issues
• Strong coaching/training skills
• Effective conflict resolution skills with a high level of emotional intelligence
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Competent IT skills
• Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
