Job summary

You must be AHPRA registered with 5+ years in aged care, with leadership experience and a focus on continuous quality improvement. The role includes collaboration with Head Office on HR, rostering and education.

The full-time role of Care Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centered care to our residents. As the leader of experienced healthcare professionals, you will oversee care planning, promote a safe and supportive environment, actively contribute to the reaccreditation process, and monitor and update AN-ACC classifications.

You will work in close partnership with the Facility Manager and our nursing teams to deliver clinical care. Your passion for clinical best practices, commitment to maximising resident wellbeing, and strong leadership abilities to develop and direct will be key.

About the role

As a Care Manager, you will:

Provide guidance, supervision and education to our dedicated nursing and care staff, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge to deliver the highest standards of care.

Lead resident safety and wellbeing through risk management, person-centred care planning, quality compliance, incident and outbreak management, and engagement with residents and families.

Provide strong clinical governance leadership by mentoring multidisciplinary teams, supporting staff development, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving accreditation and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Ensure exceptional care quality and compliance through clinical audits, risk management, accreditation readiness, quality improvement initiatives, and alignment with aged care reforms.

Oversee AN-ACC management by ensuring accurate assessments, compliant documentation, funding optimisation, and timely updates aligned with regulatory requirements.

Working with Head Office, you will be involved in HR activities to drive effective recruitment, rostering, education and performance.

About you

AHPRA registered, you will have at least 5 years' experience in a similar role in aged care.

Experience managing and leading a nursing team in an aged care environment.

Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.

Experience in working with dementia and/or mental health in an aged care environment is highly regarded.
