Job summary

Respect Group Limited, operating Bayview Haven, is seeking a Senior Registered Nurse Coordinator to lead clinical quality, governance, and compliance in a coastal aged care setting. The role supports safe, person-centred care with strong collaboration with the General Manager and Care Management teams.

The position drives continuous improvement, ensures accreditation readiness, and provides mentorship to nursing and care staff to uphold high standards of care for residents.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Demonstrated experience in residential aged care and advanced clinical assessment skills.
• Strong knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards, clinical governance, and compliance requirements.
• Experience conducting clinical audits, quality improvement activities, and accreditation preparation.
• High-level clinical documentation, review, and care planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight to ensure care aligns with best practice, legislation, and organisational standards.
• Conduct clinical audits and reviews to monitor care quality and resident outcomes.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and address identified gaps or risks.
• Ensure readiness for accreditation and compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards.
• Review resident clinical records and support complex care assessments and high-risk monitoring.
• Assist with incident management, investigations, risk mitigation, and preventative action planning.
• Provide clinical guidance, mentorship, and education to nursing and care teams.
• Monitor clinical systems, documentation, and data integrity.

The official position title for the Senior Registered Nurse Coordinator role is Clinical Quality & Compliance Coordinator. The role supports safe, high-quality, person-centred care through clinical governance, quality improvement, and compliance activities, working closely with the General Manager, Care Manager, and Care Coordinator (where applicable) to ensure alignment with organisational policies, professional standards, and aged care regulatory requirements.

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday and operates as a supernumerary clinical role, providing leadership and oversight of quality, risk, and compliance systems across the service. The position plays a key role in driving continuous improvement, supporting best-practice clinical care, and ensuring the organisation maintains compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.

This opportunity is suited to an experienced Registered Nurse who is passionate about clinical excellence, quality outcomes, and enhancing the wellbeing of older people.

No two days are the same! As Clinical Quality & Compliance Coordinator you will:

• Provide clinical oversight to ensure care delivery aligns with best practice, legislation, and organisational standards

• Provide clinical guidance, mentorship, and education to nursing and care teams to strengthen capability and best practice
• Monitor clinical systems, documentation, and data integrity to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of care activities

About You
