Job summary

Ozcare Group is seeking Permanent Part-time Care Assistants to support clients in the Maryborough area (Hervey Bay). You will work as part of a friendly care team to deliver personalised care and help clients maintain independence.

Your tasks include daily living support, personal care, medication assistance, and using a holistic approach to meet each client’s needs. Applicants must reside in Hervey Bay or Maryborough and have basic tech skills.

• Ability to use a smartphone and Outlook email effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised care in line with care plans.

Job description

Our Ozcare Aged Care at Home Branch based in Hervey Bay are looking for Permanent Part-time Care Assistants within the Maryborough Area to provide support to clients.

Please note:to be successful in this role you need to meet the following criteria:

• Must be located in either Hervey Bay or Maryborough
• With sound knowledge in using a smart phone and outlook email.

Your Role

As a Care Assistant you'll be looking after the most important people in our organisation - our clients. Your tasks will include:

• Providing the very best care and support to clients in line with their personalised care plans
• Assisting clients to develop skills to encourage their independence
• Attending to clients' personal care needs, including showering, dressing and other daily activities
• Assisting clients with their medication requirements
• Working as part of the care team, using a holistic approach, to look at every aspect of our clients' care

Your Attributes

• Previous experience in a similar role

Role Requirements

• National Police Check (valid within last 3 years)
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care or Home & Community Care (or equivalent)
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificates
• Current Australian Drivers Licence
• A reliable roadworthy vehicle with current registration and comprehensive insurance
• Proof of immunity, or willingness to become vaccinated against, Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella (Chicken Pox) & Pertussis (Whooping Cough).
• Good computer and mobile device skills
