Job summary

Ozcare in Rockhampton is seeking a permanent part-time Registered Nurse to support clients in the community. You will provide high-quality, evidence-based care across ages, including complex wound care, palliative care, medication administration and chronic disease management.

Key duties include initial assessments, care planning, coordinating with families and the multidisciplinary team, documenting progress, and liaising with stakeholders.

We have a permanent part-time opportunity available for Registered Nurses supporting our clients within the Rockhampton region.

Your Role

As a Registered Nurse you’ll be looking after the most important people in our organisation – our clients. You will provide high-quality, evidence-based care across all age groups within the community, supporting a variety of clinical needs including complex wound care, palliative care, medication administration and chronic disease management. Your tasks will include:

Initial assessment of client needs and implementation of ongoing care, including coordination, case management and care planning

Delivering holistic, client-centred care in consultation with clients, families and the multidisciplinary team

Monitoring, evaluating and documenting client progress in line with professional and legal standards

Administering and reviewing medications, treatments and clinical interventions

Liaising with internal and external stakeholders and making referrals as required to support client outcomes

Maintaining accurate, timely documentation and contributing to continuous quality improvement initiatives

How You’ll Benefit

You’ll become part of the Ozcare family, and in addition to the training and support that you would expect, you will also receive:

$51.08 - $60.17 per hour (dependant on experience)

5 weeks annual leave as standard + 14% leave loading

Role Requirements

To be successful, applicants must have availability and willingness to work a recurring roster that involves weekdays as well as a requirement for Saturday & Sunday availability (3-4 shifts per week).

Proof of immunity, or willingness to become vaccinated against, Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella (Chicken Pox) and Pertussis (Whooping Cough)

Current National Police Check (with validity in the past 3 years)

Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Current Queensland driver’s licence

Current CPR Certificate

Good computer and mobile device skills
