Job summary

Sydney Public Sector People is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Capital Works to deliver a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects from planning through to completion. You will manage design, procurement, construction and handover, ensuring projects meet time, budget, and quality targets while coordinating with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in project management, construction or capital works.
• Demonstrated experience managing capital works, construction, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong contract, commercial and financial management skills.
• Experience working client-side, within a project management consultancy or similar environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end delivery of multiple capital works projects across the portfolio.
• Lead projects from initial scope development and feasibility through design, procurement, construction and completion.
• Develop and manage project programmes, budgets, milestones and delivery strategies.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies and opportunities.
• Ensure projects are delivered within agreed timeframes, budgets and quality requirements.
• Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions where required.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, reporting and records.
• Coordinate engagement and management of external consultants and specialist advisors.
• Oversee design development and ensure project requirements are clearly defined.
