Job summary

Kinetic IT is seeking an Availability and Capacity - Process Manager to support a large Federal Government department, ensuring services remain reliable and scalable as demand changes. You will develop and maintain capacity plans, analyse usage and forecast needs, monitor service availability, and drive improvements aligned with ITIL and governance obligations.

The role offers hybrid work arrangements and the chance to work across technical teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Australian Citizenship with NV1 or NV2 security clearance (AGSVA).
• Strong practical experience in ITIL-aligned service management within a complex enterprise.
• Understanding of Federal Government operational, governance and security requirements.
• Experience developing capacity forecasts and availability plans, analysing service performance and utilisation data.
• Ability to identify capacity constraints and translate findings into practical improvements and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain availability and capacity plans aligned with business demand, service requirements and SLAs.
• Analyse utilisation, performance and demand trends to forecast capacity needs and coordinate actions with technical teams and service owners.
• Monitor and report on service availability, investigate trends and risks, and drive improvements to reduce downtime and bottlenecks.
• Maintain availability and capacity policies, procedures, maps, reporting and controls aligned with ITIL, customer requirements and governance obligations.
