Job summary

The Whizdom project officer role is based in Canberra, ACT, supporting the delivery of complex government technology, cyber security, and capability programs. You will assist project managers with administration, coordination, reporting, governance, and financial tasks to keep projects on track and deliver outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting projects, programs, or portfolio delivery.
• Strong coordination, administration, and reporting skills.
• Experience preparing briefs, reports, submissions, and stakeholder communications.
• Ability to assist with planning, scheduling, tracking, and governance activities.
• Knowledge of project management tools, methodologies, and governance best practices.
• Strong organisational and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with stakeholders across technical and business teams.
• Experience maintaining project financial records and supporting budget tracking.
• Proactive, collaborative, detail‑oriented.

Responsibilities

• Provide project administration, coordination, reporting, governance, and financial support to ensure projects stay on track and deliver outcomes.
• Assist across planning, documentation, scheduling, risk management, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
• Assist with project testing and evaluation activities.
• Maintain project records and artefacts to a high standard.
