Job summary

Beaumont&Beaumont in Canberra is seeking an APS6-equivalent Project Manager to join the Operations Branch on a full-time basis for an initial period of around 8 months, with a potential short extension. The vacancy is based in Parkes, Canberra, with remote work considered on a case-by-case basis.

You will lead complex building, construction, infrastructure or facilities projects, with strong procurement, contract management, budget oversight, risk management and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience managing building, construction, infrastructure or facilities projects in a complex operational environment.
• Procurement and contract management experience with budget oversight and risk management.
• Stakeholder engagement and clear communication with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Building Projects team: oversee delivery, set priorities, maintain cohesion and ensure output quality.
• Deliver complex projects and programs: develop and manage plans, oversee implementation, manage budgets and risks.
• Manage contracts and compliance: administer agreements, lead tender processes and ensure regulatory adherence.
• Exercise sound judgement and analysis: make decisions with senior guidance, following regulations and procedures.
• Drive team performance and capability: plan training, coaching, feedback and development.
• Deliver expert research, analysis and advice: draft reports and provide technical input across projects.
• Lead and manage stakeholder engagement: build internal and external relationships and coordinate delivery.
