Job summary

Canberra Consulting seeks an experienced APS6 Business Analyst to support a Federal Government Agency within its Digital function. The role focuses on ITSM, asset and configuration management, and improving IT processes while migrating asset information to the ITSM platform.

You will collaborate with the Service Management Office and stakeholders to analyse and improve processes, align ITIL with ITSM tools, and contribute to security maturity improvements for the agency.

Qualifications

• Australian Citizen with Baseline security clearance.
• Experience in IT Asset Management and Configuration Management.
• Experience with ITSM processes and ITIL-aligned platforms.
• Experience with CMDB population and data integrity.
• Ability to facilitate workshops with technical SMEs and senior stakeholders.
• Ability to plan and lead workstreams in systems implementation projects.
• Ability to work independently in changing environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct stakeholder interviews and facilitate workshops to establish requirements.
• Analyse current business and system processes to identify opportunities, issues and risks.
• Gather, analyse and document detailed business, functional and non-functional requirements.
• Develop process maps, specifications, recommendations and supporting documentation.
• Design future-state processes considering compliance, system capabilities and efficient methodologies.
• Support IT Asset and Configuration Management process improvement and redesign.
• Assist with alignment of ITIL processes and ITSM platforms.
• Undertake data research, extraction, analysis and presentation.
• Develop human and system process workflows.
• Provide business analysis support to project managers and contribute to successful project delivery.

$85 – $95 per hour, inc Super | Federal Government

Canberra Consulting is seeking an experienced APS6 Business Analyst to support a Federal Government Agencywithin its Digital function.

This role will work closely with the Service Management Office and Digital stakeholders to analyse and improve business processes and support the migration of software and business-system asset information into the Agency'sIT Service Management (ITSM) platform. The work will also contribute to improvements in IT processes and the Commission's Essential Eight security maturity.
The opportunityYou will undertake hands-on business and systems analysis across an IT service management environment, working with business stakeholders, technical SMEs and project teams.

• Business requirements gathering and systems analysis.
• IT Asset Management and Configuration Management.
• ITSM process improvement and redesign.
• ITIL-aligned processes and ITSM platforms, such as ServiceNow, ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus or similar.
• CMDB population, data integrity and lifecycle management.
• Data analysis and information management.
• Facilitating workshops and engaging effectively with technical SMEs and senior stakeholders.
• Planning and leading workstreams within systems implementation projects.
• Working independently in changing or ambiguous environments.
• Lean methodology or process improvement environments.
