Job summary

ACESGroup seeks an experienced Security Team Leader for a high-profile university campus in Kensington/Randwick. You will supervise Security Officers, coordinate daily operations, and ensure safety for students, staff, and visitors.

In this hands-on role you lead by example, maintain high service standards, and engage stakeholders to improve security delivery. NSW licence and 3+ years' experience required.

Qualifications

• Current NSW Security Licence (Class 1A).
• Minimum of 3 years' security experience or equivalent.
• Experience supervising or leading a security team.
• Demonstrated CCTV operational experience and confidence with security tech.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• RSA Competency Card or willingness to obtain.
• Working with Children Check (WWCC).
• White Card or willingness to obtain.
• Fire Warden certification or willingness to obtain.
• Mental Health First Aid or willingness to obtain.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Excellent customer service and stakeholder engagement.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and support a team of Security Officers.
• Coordinate daily security operations, staff briefings, and shift activities.
• Respond to and manage incidents, alarms, and emergencies.
• Conduct foot patrols to maintain a visible campus security presence.
• Act as key contact for clients, students, staff and visitors.
• Monitor CCTV and security systems to support site operations.
• Manage access control and maintain security procedures.
• Identify safety risks and ensure WHS compliance.
• Prepare incident reports, security records, and updates.
• Support team performance and identify service improvements.
