Job summary

Brisbane Boys’ College is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to provide maintenance support within the facilities team and assist with corporate services functions. Responsibilities include repairs, tool/equipment management, and adherence to health and safety regulations.

The role requires flexibility in hours and a collaborative approach with other College teams. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and basic maintenance knowledge, with preference for prior maintenance support experience

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Technical training in maintenance or related field is advantageous.
Prior maintenance support or equipment management experience preferred.
Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols in maintenance work.

Responsibilities

Undertake general building and maintenance work across the campus.
Carry out planned and scheduled maintenance works as logged in UpKeep.
Collaborate with Logistics for events and movement of furniture/equipment.
Distribute mail, parcels, and consignments to recipients within the College.
Communicate repairs and maintenance issues logged through UpKeep.
Provide a service to the College and maintain open interdepartmental communication.
Flexible hours and cover shifts (7am–6pm with rotating patterns).
