Job summary

Wyndham Central College is seeking aMaintenance Officer to maintain and repair school buildings and grounds. You will use hand and power tools to perform carpentry, plumbing, painting and minor repairs, working alone or in teams as required.

The role emphasizes safety, timely completion of tasks, and effective communication with staff and external trades. A current Working with Children Check and adherence to policies are required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated sound and safe working knowledge of hand and power tools used for interior and exterior building maintenance.
• Ability to complete tasks efficiently to a high standard and on time.
• Team or independent work capability and ability to follow instructions.
• Effective communication with tradespeople, suppliers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds using hand and power tools.
• Follow safety policies and provide timely maintenance reports.
• Receive and assess maintenance requests and prioritise workloads.
• Assist with general mechanical tasks and gardening equipment maintenance.
• Ensure equipment storage and cleanliness after use.
