Job summary

Murdoch University is seeking a Facilities Services Officer based at the service centre to coordinate maintenance requests and contractor activities across campuses, while delivering front-line customer service. You will manage work orders, inductions and compliance processes to ensure timely and accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV qualification with relevant Facilities Management work experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and database-style software to convey information and maintain records.
• Ability to be self-organised and manage time effectively, prioritising workloads to meet deadlines.
• Highly effective communication, customer service and interpersonal skills with the University community.
• Ability to enter data accurately and produce basic reports for management use.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance requests, service enquiries and contractor activities across facilities, security, parking, grounds, cleaning and logistics.
• Provide a high-quality reception service to internal and external customers as the central contact point for the University.
• Raise and administer work orders through the maintenance management system and support service providers to close out maintenance works.
• Evaluate critical service interruptions and communicate updates to stakeholders via intranet, banners and email.
• Ensure contractor compliance with Murdoch guidelines, inductions, permits and attendance registers.
